Who we are

bike-it! tours is the trading name and operational arm of The Environment Works Pty Ltd, with Bruce Ashley being its sole director. Bruce is a qualified environmental scientist and recreation planner and has over 30 years experience as a freelance environmental and bicycle planning consultant.

Bruce is publisher of Bike-it! Sydney back-street guide and maps, and author of Cycling Around Sydney and Cycling Around Canberra.

New Caledonia cycle tours

Bruce has had significant cycle touring experience in New Caledonia with over 30 tours in the county over a 20-year period, and is a reasonably proficient French speaker. In 2012, three other riders accompanied Bruce on a 400km east-to-west coasts exploratory ride that included two mountain range crossings and exploration of a previously unused trail. Since then Bruce has taken riders on group tours in 2013, 2016, and 2017.
