one of Pedal Powers top 10 priorities is to make the crossing at Bowen Dr safer. A number of reports have been prepared and options investigated over the last few years, and now a subway/underpass design has been selected. However funding and a construction timetable yet to be confirmed. Watch this space!

Ride 7 Ginninderra's lake & creekside tour

Ride 8 Woden and Weston Country
work is well progressed on the Coombs Stage 1 residential development area and planning work is underway for the Molonglo River Park. Access along the shared pathway from the Cotter Rd to Molonglo River is likely to be maintained during the the construction program, expected to be completed in about late 2014. The Draft plan for Molonglo River Park - Coombs Riverside Preliminary Designs indicates that shared multi-use trails along the corridor will remain largely in place in a similar form as at present, with the whole Park developed over a 30 year period

Ride 9 Tuggeranong & the 'bidgee
a river corridor trail from Pine Island to Point Hut is to be developed as part of the multi-user Centenary Trail and be completed by about mid-2013. This will provide an alternate route for Ride 9 from the Pine Island Reserve to Point Hut along the Murrumbidgee River corridor rather than the current route as shown through Bonython and Woodstock Dr -though the trail surface would not be sealed and as high quality as the current route

Ride 10 Gungahlin town & country
Goorooyarooo and Mulligans Flat Nature Reserves are now well established. The Eastern Bettong was released into the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary in 2012 and the Brown Treecreeper appears to have re-established a viable population in the area.

This means that instead of continuing 1.5km along the path through a section of cork oak plantation and to the National Zoo and back on the shoulder of busy Lady Denman Drive, you can take a new shared path to the right and directly up to the Arboretum. Take care crossing the Molonglo Arterial exit ramp -traffic is coming from your right!
